The Vice President of Product Management - AI Customer Portal is responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of a world-class digital portal integrating advanced AI capabilities. This leader will drive the evolution of self-service, engagement, and automation across the customer lifecycle, leveraging generative AI, analytics, and automation to deliver seamless and personalized experiences at scale.
What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate a comprehensive long-term vision for the customer portal ecosystem, embedding AI to deliver proactive, intelligent, and personalized digital experiences across all customer touchpoints.
Roadmap & Portfolio Oversight: Own the product roadmap for the portal and its AI-driven features—including chatbots, virtual agents, recommendation systems, predictive support, and self-service automation—to meet and anticipate customer and business needs.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, UX, customer success, analytics, and IT to ensure successful and rapid delivery of portal enhancements and AI models. Foster a collaborative approach to digital transformation and customer-centric innovation.
Customer Experience Optimization: Leverage data science, GenAI, and analytics to understand customer intent and sentiment, deliver personalized solutions, and automate service tasks, improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Technology & AI Adoption: Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to maintain a competitive edge, ensuring best practices in user experience, security, privacy, and scalability.
Team Development: Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams in product management, UX, AI/data science, and digital delivery. Drive a culture of experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous innovation.
Performance & Metrics: Define and track KPIs for portal usage, engagement, AI performance, customer satisfaction, and business impact. Present regular updates to executive leadership on progress, insights, and recommendations.
Market Leadership: Act as a thought leader—representing the company at customer, industry, and partner forums on the future of customer experience and AI-driven automation.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure robust governance for AI, data, and digital operations. Champion privacy, data security, and responsible AI practices across all solutions[13].
Budget & Resource Management: Oversee planning and allocation of resources to maximize ROI and achieve strategic objectives.
Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.
Proven success in senior product management or technology leadership roles running digital portals or platforms for SaaS, with significant exposure to AI/ML productization and adoption.
Deep understanding of AI-powered customer experience, automation, self-service, and digital engagement platforms.
Demonstrated ability to develop and launch innovative AI-driven features (e.g., chatbots, intelligent routing, personalization engines, predictive analytics).
Track record of leading cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams in complex enterprise settings.
Strong business acumen with analytical and strategic thinking, able to translate customer insights and technology trends into actionable plans.
Advanced knowledge of privacy, governance, and compliance frameworks for digital and AI solutions.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
