What We’re Looking For:

Nilus is hiring its first Sales Engineer to partner with our gotomarket team and help scale our presales motion. In this role, you’ll work handinhand with Account Executives to validate solutions, tailor product demonstrations, and lead deep technical and functional conversations with corporate treasury leaders.

Were looking for someone who lives and breathes treasury. You might have led a corporate treasury function, consulted in the space, or worked with TMS platforms. You know how liquidity planning, cash positioning, forecasting, bank reconciliation, and payments all fit together—and you can confidently guide executives through those conversations.

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll bridge the technical and business sides of the sales cycle. You’ll also serve as a subject matter expert for product and marketing, helping shape messaging, validate roadmap priorities, and deliver feedback from the field.

This is a foundational hire with a path toward building and leading the Sales Engineering function over time.



What you’ll be doing

  • Lead presales discovery and solutioning with prospective customers alongside your AE counterpart, translating treasury workflows into compelling product demonstrations.
  • Own the demo experience, customizing demo stories that align with the unique needs of each prospect.
  • Support technical deep dives on topics like data integrations, banking structures, reconciliation logic, and reporting workflows.
  • Act as a trusted SME and technical authority, educating buyers on best practices and connecting the dots between their needs and our roadmap.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to deliver solution briefs, validate feature requirements, and support GTM messaging.
  • Stay uptodate on treasury trends, tools, and competitor positioning to help our team win complex deals.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in sales playbooks, enablement assets, and demo environments.
  • Lay the foundation for a scalable SE function, with opportunities to build and lead a team as we grow.


    • Your qualifications

      ✔️ 5+ years of experience in corporate treasury, with direct ownership or consulting experience across fullcycle treasury operations
      ✔️ Familiarity with SaaSbased TMS platforms like Kyriba, GTreasury, Reval, or similar tools
      ✔️ Proven track record in presales or solution engineering roles, ideally within fintech or SaaS
      ✔️ Strong understanding of banking data structures, cash management workflows, and reconciliation processes
      ✔️ Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to connect technical details with business value
      ✔️ Experience with APIs and basic technical integrations (you won’t be coding, but you’ll be guiding the conversation)
      ✔️ Confidence engaging senior stakeholders in both technical and financial roles
      ✔️ Selfstarter who thrives in a fastpaced, collaborative environment
      ✔️ English fluency — a must!
      ✔️ NYCbased or able to work US hours — remotefirst but inperson optional
