    • Job Description

      As the Lead Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the platform — technically, strategically, and culturally. You’ll work directly with the founder and CTO, take ownership of the backend and infrastructure, and help scale the product to its next stage of growth.

      This is a great fit for someone who thrives in remote, highautonomy environments but doesn’t mind the occasional inperson sync in Philly to align on bigpicture goals.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead backend development using C# .NET — designing and maintaining APIs, data models, and business logic

      • Contribute to and support the React frontend, as needed

      • Own Azurebased deployments and DevOps processes; improve CICD and environment management

      • Collaborate closely with the founder and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions

      • Architect and implement improvements across performance, scalability, and system reliability

      • Proactively present updates and technical decisions in a clear, organized way (weekly cadence expected)

      • Confidently challenge ideas that aren’t technically sound, and push for smarter solutions when needed

        • Qualifications
          • A seniorlevel engineer (6–12+ years) with deep experience in C# .NET and Azure

          • Comfortable with frontend development in React

          • Strong grasp of DevOps best practices, ideally in Azure environments

          • Microsoft Certified or equivalent experience preferred

          • You’re comfortable working directly with technical founders — and navigating tough conversations when needed

          • You value clarity, consistency, and direct communication

          • You’re assertive, thickskinned, and proactive — not afraid to push back, but always solutionoriented
