Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is hiring a part-time Applied Data Analyst – Drug Demand Reduction Initiatives role to support the Department of Defense’s Office of Drug Demand Reduction (ODDR). This position involves working on data-driven initiatives to monitor and address drug trends and threats. The ideal candidate will bring experience in data analysis, visualization, and report development, and will play a key role in designing and executing research strategies. Collaboration with ODDR is essential to ensure insights are aligned with policy objectives and effectively communicated to DoD leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, interpret and analyze data for new and ongoing drug trend and drug threat projects and studies.
  • Create data visualizations that clearly communicate and drive data-driven processes.
  • Conduct analytical report writing for presentations and policy memoranda.
  • Collaborate with Office of Drug Demand Reduction (ODDR) on formation of statistical research designs that create a synthesized strategy for both data collection and analysis for a DoD leadership audience.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Science (GIS), or related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Ability to manipulate and extract data while maintaining utmost confidentiality.
  • Professional knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of complex analytical and statistical theories, principles, and practices
  • Knowledge of programming languages SQL, python and software such as Qlik, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or similar statistical software packages
  • Proficient in the English language in speech, writing, and personal interactions
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrate a strong independent work ethic with the initiative to collaborate across multiple teams to effectively synthesize data.
  • U.S. Citizen and able to acquire a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Relevant Advanced Degree
