Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Speech Pathologist within the Epworth Community Integration Team.

In this part-time role (22.8 hours per week), you will provide Speech Pathology assessment and intervention of clients with a range of physical, cognitive, behavioural and emotional issues, primarily the result of an acquired brain injury. Your case-mix will be diverse and require you to work closely with professionals from other disciplines.

Provided with a laptop and phone, you will have the ability to work remotely, with flexible start and finish locations as well as from our office in Richmond. Our team are only required to attend on site once per week/fortnight.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing effective working relationships with clients, families, and colleagues and value a team-based approach
  • Providing clinical care based on best available evidence
  • Having well-developed organisational and planning skills
  • Being able to interact and collaborate with all members of a multidisciplinary team

To be successful in this role you:

  • Are a skilled and personable Speech Pathologist, looking to complement a multidisciplinary team
  • Possess experience working with clients that have neurological and mental health conditions
  • Are proficient in assessment, and treatment of speech/voice and oro-facial injuries; and cognitive-communication changes
  • Demonstrate accountability with a strong, supportive and engaging communication style
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Have experience working in a rehabilitation setting
  • Preferably have experience working in a community-based rehabilitation setting

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology
    • Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
    • Must hold a current driver’s licence
