Job description

NETGEAR is looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer (SE) to join our Network Security team. In this critical role, you’ll work directly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and SmalltoMedium Businesses (SMBs), serving as a trusted technical advisor and driving the successful adoption of NETGEAR’s nextgeneration security solutions.

You will play a key role in the presales cycle by demonstrating technical expertise, shaping customer solutions, and influencing product adoption. This is a remote position with occasional travel to customer sites, events, or team meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

· Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) on NETGEAR’s network security portfolio during the sales cycle.

· Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions using NETGEAR’s security offerings.

· Deliver engaging technical presentations, product demos, and ProofofConcept (PoC) sessions for prospective customers.

· Guide MSPs and SMBs through the deployment and implementation of products such as NextGeneration Firewalls, ZeroTrust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, VPNs, and SDWAN.

· Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

· Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer needs and competitive trends.

· Support channel partners and assist with onboarding, enablement, and technical training.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive solutions.

· Participate in industry events, webinars, and other forums to promote NETGEAR’s security solutions.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

· 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical role, specifically in network security.

· Proven handson experience implementing and deploying solutions including:

o NextGeneration Firewalls

o ZeroTrust Network Access (ZTNA)

o Secure Web Gateways (SWG)

o VPN technologies (WireGuard, IPSec, SSL, clientbased and clientless)

o SDWAN

· Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCPIP, DNS, HTTPS, etc.).

· Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value for stakeholders.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

· Experience working with MSPs andor SMB clients in a consultative or presales capacity.

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

· Professional certifications such as CISSP or similar.

· Experience working with cloudbased security platforms and SaaSdelivered security.

· Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

· Experience supporting partner ecosystems and VARs in a technical sales capacity.

· Familiarity with automation, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), or infrastructureascode is a plus.
