Job description

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
Design, develop, and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, with a strong focus on utilizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and measures.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the Power BI data model, including Vertica databases and SQL databases.
Develop and maintain data models in Power BI, ensuring optimal performance and efficient data analysis.
Write complex DAX expressions to create calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables for accurate data analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from Vertica and SQL databases.
Work with SQL databases to retrieve and manipulate data for integration into Power BI reports and dashboards.
Create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to business users.
Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of the data presented in Power BI solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI, DAX calculations, data connectivity, and performance bottlenecks.
Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, enhancements, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of Power BI solutions.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong focus on DAX calculations, Vertica, and SQL.
Proficiency in creating interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
Indepth knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating advanced calculations and measures in Power BI.
Experience working with Vertica databases and SQL databases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data from SQL databases.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and best practices in Power BI.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and crossfunctional teams.
