Job description

Job Description

The Workshop Technician reporting to the Workshop Technician Supervisor, is responsible to provide prompt and effective service on customer owned actuators. The Technician will work as part of the Service team, and dependent on workload may be asked to perform site visits on field repairs.

This role will involve basic maintenance, repair and testing of electric and fluid power actuators, gearboxes and valve actuation for in house service jobs. The Service Workshop Technician will support the Service Coordinator in generating, maintaining and closing of inhouse service tickets.

There will be a close relationship with the customer, providing quotations, appropriate feedback and technical assistance and with other departments, including working with Quality, Engineering, Shipping and Sales Managers.

Within the workshop, this individual will be responsible for tools, calibration of safety equipment, preventative maintenance, inventory control and overall tidiness of the workspace.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable drivers abstract
  • 3+ year’s experience with an Electrical and Mechanical background to include ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and conduct failure analysis of mechanical components and repairservice electromechanical products
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • Basic working knowledge of MS Office applications and other related software
