Minimum Qualifications:
High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of one (1) year clinical nursing experience.
Licenses, certificates, or registration
Current and valid Arkansas Practical Nurse License. Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
Collects and records patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate) and report abnormal findings to the RN or physician.
Administers prescribed medications (oral, injection, topical) and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Assists with or performs basic nursing procedures such as wound care, catheterization, EKGs, or specimen collection.
Documents patient interactions, vital signs, medication administration, and provider instructions in the EMR system (often EPIC at UAMS).
Educates patients and families about medications, follow-up care, and home health routines as directed by the provider.
Collaborates with physicians, registered nurses, and other clinic staff to ensure coordinated, quality patient care.
Maintains a clean, organized clinical environment and ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
May perform other duties as assigned.
