This is a hybrid role working from our Plymouth Meeting, PA office. On site expectations are 2-3 days per week.

The pay range for this position is $105,000- $110,000. This range is annualized, assuming normal full-time employment.
 

Role overview

The Accolade Technical Product Management team focuses on the success of the Accolade Cloud Platform.  We are an extremely entrepreneurial and collaborative group of individuals who love to lead, learn and innovate. We work integrally with product managers, infrastructure engineering, software developers, and other stakeholders to manage cross-functional programs and services covering a range of areas.  We anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering and continually drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward.  

In this role you will work with key stake holders including product management, engineering and architecture to derive technical requirement and refine them with your SCRUM team.  We’re looking for an analytical, problem-solving product manager with a passion for software engineering and background in programming, practices and languages.  A fantastic communicator and negotiator with a collaborative attitude that excels in using quantitative data to set direction and influence stake-holders.  A self-starting individual who is service oriented, “thinks customer”, is passionate about learning, and understands the value of teamwork.    

A day in the life…

You will lead and track all aspects of a SCRUM team committed incremental product deliverables:

  • Ownership of a software engineering teams backlog and alignment of their roadmap to organizational goals

  • Document and demonstrate technical capabilities with other teams and stakeholders to ensure adoption. 

  • Develop effective schedules and coordinate efforts among workers and vendors. 

  • You will manage the backlog and alignment of deliverables for a focused area of the Accolade Cloud Platform

  • Ownership of the metrics (KPIs) used to define success for the product deliverable

  • Provide initial monitoring and ensure success thru tooling and direct support for the deliverables

  • Identify, scope, and schedule capability improvements or enhancement

  • You will ensure Agile and Lean best practices are applied to the development lifecycle.


What we are looking for…

  • AA/AS in Computer Science or related technical field. 

  • 2 to 5 years of technical product development and/or project management experience in software components for web / mobile applications.

  • An understanding and demonstrated background with software engineering best practices and tooling:

  • Proficient in or more programming languages: JavaScript/Node.js, Java, Python, SQL,

  • Experience with version control systems for development and documentation: github, vscode, gitlab, etc

  • Experience utilizing a log analytic platform: ELK (Preference), Sumo, Splunk

  • An understanding of the Software Engineering Development Lifecycle in a dynamic environment.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.  

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for hands-on, detail oriented, involvement in project delivery.  

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport across the organization learning from technical and non-technical team members alike, documenting and sharing your learnings to others. 

  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team using Agile methodologies and embracing a Lean start-up mentality. 

  • Background in management and or leadership experience a plus.

  • Experience working with a start-up in a technical role a plus.

The salary range for this role is:

$90000-$139500
