Platform of Trust serves the built environment ecosystem of users, businesses, and cities. Its members connect with others’ data and services, creating an exponentially expanding network. It turns buildings into service platforms. Trustworthy and rich data helps make life for residents and employees easier. By using a digital twins, one can get a real-time overview of built assets, improve resource-efficiency, and reduce risk. Platform of Trust consist of the following elements: 1. The Data Platform A vendor-neutral internet platform allows you to securely exchange data between applications and systems and link it to digital twins. 2. The Trust Engine An authorisation mechanism lets you manage your data and makes sure that what you receive is trustworthy and complete. 3. The Marketplace A global online marketplace allows you to distribute, buy, and sell data, applications, and services. 4. The Community A group of member organisations steers the development of the platform, makes decisions, and chooses the platform operator. Currently the operator is Suomen Tilaajavastuu Oy. Becoming operational in 2019 During the initial phase, the platform has hosted pilot projects. In 2019, the platform will start to serve large-scale piloting and the marketplace will open.
