Job description

🐼 Who we are

You. Better. With Alan.

Alan's vision is to make prevention the new norm of care for all. Our mission is to help people live in good health to 100 while helping employers feel proud, turning health benefits from a cost centre into their most valuable investment.

We're building a vertically integrated health partner that seamlessly unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one system.

By connecting all aspects of care - private, public, and direct to consumer - we create the most member-centric healthcare experience. Through deep engagement, we empower everyone to overcome day-to-day health obstacles and live healthier lives.

We partner with 32,000+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 700K members, and have reached €500M+ in ARR.

Our team of 600 people (still growing) operates across France 🇫🇷, Spain 🇪🇸, Belgium 🇧🇪, and Canada 🇨🇦.

🤘 How we do it ?

People joining Alan are often surprised and delighted by our innovative working method. We have a set of cultural values that guide our approach to work, such as:

🎯 What drives us — We're obsessed with helping our members live healthier

Mission is the Boss: long-term thinking, seeking our mission success above all else.

Member & customer-led: obsessively focused on solving members & customers problems and creating the most delightful experiences.

🏆 How we build excellence — We hire the best people and give them platform to succeed

Champions of excellence: extremely high standards and talent density.

Distributed ownership: accountable enlightened despots, everyone owns their decisions and results.

Radically transparent: all information is accessible and written-first, so everyone can make the best decisions asynchronously

🤝 How we grow together — We help each other improve through honest feedback and bold thinking

Optimistic alchemy: optimists who collaborate with genuine care and support teammates.

Empathetic challengers: direct, caring feedback combined with praises to help each other grow professionally

Bold & creative contrarians: think differently to achieve greatness, try new approaches

How we move fast — We fight complexity and focus on what matters most

Disciplined in execution: taking decisive actions with focus that compounds success over time

Fight for simplicity: only high impact processes, smart frugality

⭐ CTO Founder Associate Internship ⭐

The position is open for an immediate starting date, for a six-month internship.

CTO Founder Associates support the CTO and Senior Alaners on top business priorities, such as unlocking new growth, driving alignment on strategy and building new processes/standards internally and externally. It is a unique chance to work on many tasks in a different and non traditional environment.

You will be highly involved in key challenges for Alan, and will be asked to support high added value tasks for Alan.

Detailed missions

As such, you can’t be exhaustive on the missions you will perform as a CTO FA, as you can be asked to help on almost any subject.
Possible projects include:

  • Tech: Exploring new technologies and their applications for Alan

  • Artificial Intelligence: Implementing internal solutions that leverage AI to optimize processes

  • Strategy: Contributing to company vision, market analysis, and growth modelling

  • Product: Identifying and exploring strategic opportunities

  • Corporate & Governance: Supporting board packs, legal research, and public affairs

  • Brand & Communication: Developing corporate presence at events and on social media

  • Growth: Coordinating RFPs, supporting marketing and partnerships

  • Recurring tasks: Coordinating the weekly internal communication, supporting the CTO with his weekly social posts, organizing the monthly event gathering all the Alaners, recruiting the next batch of FAs.

  • And many more...

⭐ Key Outcomes ⭐

By the end of the internship period, the intern will have:

  • Created new processes and resources, and contributed innovative ideas to improve Founders Associates team efficiency and autonomy

  • Gained skills to start your own company as a CTO

  • Met incredibly talented and smart people

  • Collaborated with the CTO and other Senior Alaners

  • Interacted with most of Alan’s communities (Engineers, Product, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Talent)

  • Gained a 360 view of Alan

  • Contributed to at least one strategic company project (new product launch, AI model implementation, etc.).

Profile & competencies
  • Analytical sense and critical thinking: FAs possess strong abilities to frame the right questions, objectively analyze problems, and simulate possible outcomes.

  • Business and product sense: FAs need excellent understanding to think at the company level, assess cross-cutting impacts, and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.

  • Execution and collaboration: The ability to orchestrate and direct people towards objectives is key, given the scope and timeline of work.

  • Versatility and education: given the scope of work, FAs should be able to jump from one topic to another with similar impact.

  • Organization, time management and autonomy: FAs must excel in managing projects precisely and reliably with minimal external assistance.

  • Effective communication: FAs interact with numerous Alaners daily, and therefore need to clearly express their needs, and inspire action in others.

  • Always looking for the extra mile: FAs are expected to deliver tasks quickly and well while proactively proposing new initiatives and anticipating future needs.

  • Growth mindset: you know how to ask for and receive feedback in order to grow as an FA in your early professional life.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English. All our communications are written and in English.

🙌   Perks & Benefits
