Job description

Programs Coordinator
100% Remote within California, Must reside in California

We are seeking a Programs Coordinator to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. Together, we are building stronger communities by getting students and colleges the resources they need to succeed and expanding pathways to economic and social mobility across California. Join us as we continue this important work to uphold the value of community colleges in building a brighter future.

What You’ll Do

The Foundation's Collaborative Impact Department, through the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, seeks a Coordinator to play a critical role in the department's success by applying deep project management skills with a thorough attention to detail to ensure high-quality design and delivery of specific registered apprenticeship and work-based learning programs.

This position represents an exciting opportunity to help to provide a wide range of administrative and operational support working with multiple educational institutions, industry employers, government agencies, funders, and more. The coordinator’s support will help with initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for low-wage workers to secure middle-skill jobs in California and addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market.

  • Provide general administrative support to LAUNCH staff, including, but not limited to the following:

    • Proofreading and formatting documents.

    • Assist with event and meeting logistics (e.g., invitations and RSVPs, meeting room arrangements, catering, AV requirements, travel coordination) across departments.

    • Prepare expense reports for organization staff.

    • Coordinate communication and process correspondence among associations, industry partners, stakeholders and team members

    • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all deliverables and projects are accurate, professional, and up to date.

  • Maintain proper documentation of participants and multiple databases with the highest regard for confidentiality, enroll participants into programs, track progress, and provide reports to LAUNCH staff and stakeholders.

Attributes for Success
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets and databases, and general use of personal computers, printers, telephones, Internet, and electronic mail, and ability to work remotely with various technology platforms (Zoom, MS Office Suite-Teams, Outlook, Monday.com and other database programs, Google Suite, etc.).

  • Practices ownership, takes accountability, and has the ability to manage own work, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time with limited supervision on a fast-paced team

  • Relevant AA/AS, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both.

  • Any experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred.

  • Familiarity with the Community College system and registered apprenticeship a plus.

  • We’re recruiting for mission-driven, passionate, equity-minded individuals with a strong desire to impact and change people’s lives for the better

  • Innovation, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are encouraged as employees work to achieve organizational goals

  • FoundationCCC blends the impact of a non-profit, the culture of an entrepreneurial start-up, and the scale of a state agency
