Job Description:

Summary:

The Graduate Outreach Assistant will manage outreach to university staff, professors, and students regarding museum exhibitions. This includes researching AU courses appropriate to exhibition subjects and reaching out to professors to offer course adoption/tours. Also, alerting VIPs to new exhibitions, and researching student groups and advertising venues on campus for specific exhibitions. Activities include off campus outreach to groups and embassies. Other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-Time.

  • This position offers approximately 5 hours of remote work.

  • This position is open only to AU grad students.

Salary Range:

  • $18.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Strong project management and reporting capabilities.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Detail oriented and organized.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (Emma or email service provider – email blast - experience a plus).

  • Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically and follow through with responses and tracking.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications/Journalism, or Art History.

  • Interest in Contemporary Art or Art Museums.

  • Comfortable managing and reporting on projects.
