3-5 years of experience building robust and performant backend systems using modern technology. Like Python, FastAPI, Cloud Load Balancing, Redis, asyncio, OAuth2.0, Pub/Sub (Protobuf), and Google Firestore (NoSQL).
Have worked with LLM libraries like Langgraph and Pinecone.
Deep understanding of backend development best practices, including system design, performance optimization, async frameworks, and scalable architecture.
Take initiative and get things done.
Quickly evaluate tradeoffs and make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced, changing, and often unclear environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Talking to customers to understand their pain points and requests
Designing and planning potential solutions
Writing the backend for a new feature
Working with and improving our LLM orchestration
Setting up the infrastructure to make (3) happen
Implementing data observability (eg: Amplitude) / error tracking (eg: Sentry)
Testing your feature, which oftentimes involves manual e2e tests and writing automated integration tests
Fighting fires - know when to deploy a fast hack and when to solve a bug for good
Getting customer feedback and iterating
