The Software Testing Engineer supports the successful implementation and utilization of our corporate products. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our software solutions meet the highest standards through comprehensive testing and employee training. The Software Testing Engineer also supports Business Analyst (BA) activities, assist with Snyk security testing, and manage escalated tickets for the GT Independence software team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases for new and existing corporate products.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, document, and resolve issues during testing phases.
  • Conduct regular security testing using Snyk and escalate any vulnerabilities for resolution.

Training

  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal teams on GT Independence products.
  • Create user-friendly documentation, training materials, and resources to support ongoing education.
  • Act as the primary trainer for new product rollouts and system updates.

Business Analysis Support

  • Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for software enhancements and projects.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment.

Escalated Ticket Management

  • Serve as the point of contact for managing and resolving escalated software tickets.
  • Track, analyze, and report on ticket trends to improve product performance and user satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Support, testing, training, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with software support tools and methodologies; experience with Snyk is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating training materials using tools like PowerPoint or other e-learning platforms.
  • Background in the healthcare or disability services sector is a plus.
