How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:
The AI Lead is responsible for defining and executing the AI Value Roadmap and technical execution of AI initiatives within the organization. This role will leverage expertise in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and emerging technologies including Generative AI and Large Language Models. This position will lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative AI solutions that align with organizational objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. This role emphasizes strategic problem-solving, efficiency enhancement, and maintaining the reliability and scalability of AI systems to deliver impactful AI capabilities.
What you’ll do:
- AI Strategy: Support the execution of the organization’s AI strategy by translating enterprise priorities into actionable AI product roadmaps. Define and manage system-level requirements for AI solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, data governance policies, and platform capabilities. Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director and technical teams to operationalize strategic goals through scalable, user-centered AI products.
- Technical Delivery: Partner with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) solutions, including Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM) for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Natural Language Processing/Lare Language Model (NLP/LLM) development and ensure the end-to-end solution meets all technical and business requirements and SLA specifications.
- Model Performance and Governance: Champion ethical and responsible AI practices. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies. Proactively address issues related to data privacy, security, and biases in AI systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and guidance related to AI product/feature development to engineering teams. Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience delivering enterprise-scale AI or data-driven solutions
- Five (5) years of experience leading architectural transformation, AI platform development, or enterprise modernization efforts.
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
- Master’s degree
- Three (3) years of project leadership experience including Agile project management, Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFE)
- Two (2) years of experience designing and deploying Generative AI solutions at scale
- Large Language Model Alignment & human in the loop optimization: Familiarity with human in the loop methods for aligning Large Language Models (LLMs) with human preferences
- Agentic AI frameworks: Familiarity with Agentic framework platforms and concepts. Experience deploying agentic-based solutions.
- AI solutions design: Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.
- ML Frameworks, Python, & Cloud Platforms: Advanced ability working with machine learning frameworks, programming languages like Python, and cloud platforms
These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
- LLM Architecture & Prompt Engineering: LLM architecture patterns including retrieval-augmented generation (RA)G and prompt engineering
- Proficiency in ML & NLP Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLflow, Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, LangChain.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and build relationships with all professionals at different levels within the organization.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure high degree of accuracy/ completeness and early/on-time delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Suite

Salary: $100,310 - $167,183 annually
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $100,310 annually (entry-level qualifications) to $167,183 annually (experienced in this role).

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
