What is an ABA Program Chair, Parent-led Services?


The purpose of this position is to manage the clinical and administrative functions of virtual services by overseeing a team of Virtual Clinical Directors providing Parent-led and Caregiver-mediated services to clients through the virtual modality. The Program Chair is responsible for conducting and coordinating ongoing clinical training in alignment with improving clinicians’ virtual service delivery and overall client experience.


The ABA Program Chair, Parent-led Services will primarily support the RVP of Clinical Services in the day-to-day responsibilities to ensuring clinical quality and administration support is met across managing a team of Clinicians. Key responsibilities include:

Orientation and Program Quality:

  •  Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for Clinical Directors
  •  Facilitate initial service delivery training designated to their role.
  •  Ensure Parent-led service delivery is implemented effectively by continuous monitoring and evaluation, proposing adjustments to improve the clinical quality of service delivery, and making innovative improvements as needed for client outcomes.
  •  Leads the CSD Starship app by training new Clinicians, ensuring Clinicians are utilizing the app, collecting feedback, and partnering with Serious Development for ongoing enhancements and improvements
  •  Collaborate with other departments (i.e. Recruiting, Operations, etc.) to develop and execute the strategic vision and goals of the region.

Clinical Progression and Promotion:

  •  Conduct ongoing shadow sessions, monthly meetings, and coaching groups to provide professional development and clinician adherence to program policies and procedures.
  •  Serve as a point of contact for any program-related inquires or concerns and ensuring escalated inquiries are addressed to the RVP.
  •  Conduct annual evaluations for growth and advancement.
  •  Ensures Clinicians meet client service hours and fully productive by their 2nd month and ongoing.

Client Management:

  •  Maintain a small caseload to stay abreast in incorporating new knowledge into program design and delivery or in lieu of a caseload, support new projects assigned per supervisor discretion.
  •  Support Clinicians with minimizing client cancellations
  •  Troubleshoot client authorizations and billing concerns
  •  Audit CR for label discrepancies and client profile adjustments
  •  Additional job duties as assigned


Requirements

What’s required from you?

  • Active BCBA or BCBA-D certification (or relevant licensure such as MFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist)
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in special education, psychology, behavior analysis, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in ABA service delivery for children with autism or developmental disabilities
  • 2 years of experience supervising or managing clinical teams (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with CentralReach preferred
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and content development
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures
  • Must exercise confidentiality and sound judgment
  • Familiarity with early intervention and community-based services
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work with diverse populations
