Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support our program in Tucson, Arizona.  They will work autonomously managing multiple projects with limited oversight from management. The desired MPM will be able to proactively overcome complex issues through effective communication and influence. They must also be passionate about engaging junior level professionals to help them overcome issues and grow. 
 

​The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, proposal development, and negotiating experience. They must have project management responsibilities including but not limited to risk and opportunity management and cost/schedule management.  
 

​What You Will Do: 

  • ​Execute material strategies to support program objectives 
  • ​Support recurring supplier, program, and IPT Reviews including visibility of procurement plans and escalation of supply chain issues 
  • ​Implement a forward-looking approach to procurement, pro-actively identifying procurement/delivery gaps, and leveraging the appropriate support teams to drive throughput of product deliveries 
  • ​Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) plans to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & program responsibilities; Proactively manage mitigation plans 
  • ​Manage budgets for all buy parts and supply chain labor in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process 
  • ​Supplier Can-Build oversight including metrics and health assessments 
  • ​Support prime proposals and program start-up including developing and executing Material Product Strategies (MPS) and Plans (MPP) ​
  • Support Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) and obtain and understand supplier proposals/quotes 
  • ​Flow customer and product requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • ​Willing to travel, as required 
     

​Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant Supplier and Proposal experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience
     

​Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • ​Financial Acumen: AOP, Forecasting, Estimates at Complete, Earned Value Management, CAM knowledge 
  • ​Material Program Management experience, with SAP, PRISM knowledge 
  • ​Prior experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function 
  • ​Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR and DFAR) 
  • ​Experience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders 
  • ​Experience with technical concepts and applications 
  • ​Experience in high stress, fast paced development environment
  • ​Time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks they will be required to perform 
  • ​A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Power point 
  • ​Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment ​

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. 

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
