TITLE: Staff Engineer – Java

DUTIES: Provide leadership to engineering teams utilizing Java and related technologies. Own complete solution across entire life cycle while utilizing strong problem-solving ability. Influence and build vision with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems for building enterprise class business applications. Hold accountability for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions. Lead design sessions and code reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization. Utilize programming languages and databases, Container Orchestration services, and a variety of Azure tools and services across the Software Development Lifecycle. Execute Software delivery utilizing an Agile environment for continuous delivery, Infrastructure as code, Powershell scripting, Operation Portals, and Monitoring Portals. Mentor junior team members in Java and related technology. Share best practices and improves processes within and across teams. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Salary $175,427.00 to $230,000.00 per year. A comprehensive benefits package - including but not limited to medical, dental and vision insurance; paid vacation, sick and parental leave; 401(K) plan; and tuition assistance - is offered per the Company’s Total Rewards Program.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field of study. Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience with the following: Software Development within Java framework, including J2EE or Spring/SpringBoot. Four (4) years of experience with the following: Open-source frameworks. Three (3) years of experience with the following: Building the architecture and design (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems; DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, or Azure DevOps Operational Framework; Building products in modern architecture (SOA & microservices) and extensible REST APIs; and Data Center Structure, Capabilities & Offerings. Two (2) years of experience with the following: AWS or Azure.
