Job description

Currently, we are looking for a Managed Cloud Database Administrator focusing on PostgreSQL to join our team in Poland.

Your daily responsibilities:

working in on-call rotation to respond to database incidents from various customer environments and DB engines,
working on service requests for different DB admin activities such as backups, upgrades, performance analysis, DB provisioning,
working on transition projects to take new customer environments into DB team support,
working on small migration projects to move database workloads to the cloud,
building solutions to automate the DBA Service,
taking part in modernization projects for existing customers.

Your key skills:

PostgreSQL DBA expierience 3+ years
Good understanding of PostgreSQL architecture
High availability and disaster recovery solutions for the databases
Migration techniques and technologies
Performance tuning skills
Skills in automation and scripting
Experience working with the external customers
Ability to communicate complex technical topics in English
Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Hands on Linux experience with PostgreSQL installation, upgrade and patching
Fluent communication skills in English

Skills we'd consider a plus:

Experience in any of the following DB engines: Oracle DB, MySQL / MariaDB, MS SQL Server, IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Datadog knowledge
Skills in programming and scripting: Bash, Python, Power Shell
Skills with Terraform or Ansible
Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses and columnar databases
