Position Purpose:
Responsible in the oversight of agreements with providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, vendors, and other third parties. Accountable for ensuring proper review and drafting of contracts, as well as related initiatives and projects.
Review, draft, and manage complex agreements through communication and coordination with other functional areas.
Creates, negotiates and incorporates contract amendments, renegotiating the contract to accommodate scope changes or changes in organization requirements.
Ensures effective implementation of new and renewing contracts through communication and coordination with other functional areas.
Coordinates contract activities, including contract development, negotiation and maintenance.
Facilitates meetings and review of contract language with internal stakeholders, including phases of research, drafting and coordinating of internal approvals, and appropriately escalates risks to management.
Understand and apply business standards to review of agreements.
Utilize workflows and business intelligence platforms to build, automate and monitor to ensure the lifecycle of the contract management is done timely and efficiently that also withstand regulatory and audit scrutiny.
Provide authoritative guidance to internal business relating to contract activity.
Assist in large scale projects and changes in organizational strategies as necessary.
Maintain a working knowledge of business strategies as it may relate to contracting efforts.
Ensure corporate and department goals and objectives for approved initiatives and projects are completed within established timeframes and financial parameters.
Adheres to contracting policies, procedures and financial guidelines.

Leads onboarding of new employees and training of analysts on essential job duties, including continued mentoring of junior staff and creation of onboarding materials.
Provides development guidance and assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of department policies, procedures, and work processes.
Lead end-to-end process-improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+), or similar methods, coupled with expert-level knowledge in enterprise low-code workflow and business intelligence platforms

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Juris Doctorate preferred, with an emphasis in health law or contract law preferred. 5+ years' experience required, preferably in contract administration for a specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical manufacturer preferred.
Preferred:
Lean/Automation Mastery: Proven ability to lead end-to-end process-improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+), or similar methods, coupled with expert-level knowledge in enterprise low-code workflow and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow Flow Designer, Salesforce Flow, Tableau, or equivalent) to build, automate, and monitor contract life-cycle workflows that withstand regulatory and audit scrutiny.
Data-Driven Governance: Demonstrated track record of designing data architectures and KPI dashboards that translate complex requirements in highly regulated environments into actionable metrics, driving cycle-time reduction, service level agreement adherence, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
Digital Modernization Collaboration: Demonstrated experience partnering with teams that follow Agile or SAFe frameworks, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and program-increment events to keep contracting and IT stakeholders aligned and to deliver incremental process-improvement value in highly regulated settings.
