The VSP Credentialing Representative 2 obtains and reviews documentation to determine status in a health plan.

VSP Credentialing Representative 2

  • Outbound and Inbound calls to provider office

  • Data entry

  • Reviews the applicant's education, training, clinical privileges, experience, licensure, accreditation, certifications, professional liability insurance, malpractice history and professional competence.

  • Reviews the information and documentation collected, as well as verification that the information is accurate and complete

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a dental or medical provider setting (assistant or front office) and/Or Health insurance industry experience
  • 1 or more years of data entry experience, in the past 5 years
  • 1+ years’ experience in a metric/production driven environment
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state regulations pertaining to compliance in the insurance industry
  • Experience with a compliance, credentialing and/or auditing
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Additional Information

  • 8am- 5pm EST

This role is Variable Staffing Pool( VSP), Variable Staffing Pool Humana associates work flexible hours to meet business needs, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum number of hours in any week. This role is also eligible for limited benefits.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
