Job Overview

We're looking for a Head of FP&A to lead our Global Financial Planning & Analysis function. This person will manage a team of two direct reports (FP&A Manager and Senior Commercial Analyst) and drive strategic financial planning initiatives. They'll also partner closely with leadership and the Executive team to provide critical insights that guide business decisions and growth strategies. This role reports to the CFO and is a parental leave cover for 6 or 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

👥 Leadership & Team Management 

  • Lead and develop a team of 2 FP&A professionals (FP&A Manager and Commercial Analyst)
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management for direct reports
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the FP&A team
  • Ensure team capacity and capability alignment with business needs

📈 Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Lead monthly financial reporting and variance analysis (P&L and Cash)
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and board presentation preparation with comprehensive financial analysis
  • Review comprehensive financial models for business planning
  • Provide strategic insights on key business metrics, trends, and performance drivers
  • Support investment decisions through ROI analysis and business case development

🤝 Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to drive cross-functional alignment
  • Present financial insights and recommendations for executive and board member level reporting
  • Support M&A activities, fundraising efforts, or other corporate development initiatives

🧩 Process Improvement & Systems

  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting capabilities
  • Enhance financial modelling frameworks and scenario planning capabilities
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all financial reporting
  • Lead implementation of new FP&A systems or process optimizations

🛠️ Operational Excellence

  • Oversee preparation of board materials and investor reporting packages
  • Oversee sales quotes and sales commissions 
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Support audit processes and technical accounting matters as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • CA, CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification
  • 12-15 years of progressive finance experience with minimum 5 years in FP&A leadership roles
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with proven track record of team development
  • SaaS/subscription business model experience required
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with complex financial modeling capabilities
  • Proven ability to influence and partner effectively with C-level executives
  • Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to boards and executive committees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts
