Job Summary: 

We are seeking a part-time Rule Engine Developer (Drools) to design, implement, and maintain rule-based systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop rules using Drools Rule Language (DRL). 

  • Help structure the rule engine and support integration with backend services. 

  • Provide guidance to the team on Drools syntax, patterns, and best practices. 

  • Create concise documentation for ongoing team use. 

  • Participate in short weekly check-ins to review progress and issues. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience working with Drools or similar rule engines. 

  • Strong expertise in DRL (Drools Rule Language) and decision table authoring. 

  • Experience integrating Drools with backend systems (e.g., Java, REST, databases). 

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate asynchronously with a small, agile team. 

Preferred (Not Required): 

  • Exposure to natural language processing or AI-generated rules.
