The Social Media Content Specialist plays an essential role in elevating Huron’s brand and showcasing the people, culture, and values behind the brand by driving compelling storytelling across social and digital platforms. This individual will support the creation, execution, and performance measurement of social-first content that supports Huron’s multi-channel marketing campaigns. Equal parts creative and strategic, this role blends strong copywriting capabilities with design skills to produce visually and narratively engaging content that aligns with our brand strategy and business priorities.
The ideal candidate is a digital native with a deep understanding of how to use content and design to create brand relevance, amplify thought leadership, and grow social audiences. This person will manage our content calendar, maintain posting cadence, monitor trends, and report social performance to marketing leaders. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing strategy, campaign leads, and design to ensure integrated, impactful execution across the customer journey.
This is a highly visible role designed for a versatile, fast-moving, detail-oriented creative with a pulse on what resonates in a B2B environment—particularly within professional services—and the skills to bring it to life with speed and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop social-first content including short-form video, static graphics, carousels, and animations across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Write compelling copy that aligns with Huron's brand voice and adapts appropriately for leadership, campaign, and corporate messaging.
- Manage the content calendar across channels, ensuring strategic alignment with marketing campaigns and organizational priorities.
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence across social channels, coordinating timing and frequency with internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with internal creative, marketing, human resources, and business stakeholders to align social content with broader messaging and campaign objectives.
- Research emerging trends, formats, and best practices on social to ensure Huron is differentiated and forward-looking.
- Track and analyze content performance metrics, audience engagement, and channel growth; deliver regular reporting and insights to stakeholders.
- Build assets from scratch or adapt existing materials to meet specific content and platform needs quickly and effectively.
- Support internal enablement by creating post templates and prompts for Huron leaders and teams to increase employee advocacy on social.
- Use generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate ideation, scripting, and production workflows.
- Understand and apply the principles of audience targeting, content personalization, and customer journey alignment.
- Align content with the full funnel of brand building-from awareness through engagement and conversion-supporting Huron's position as a strategic advisor across industries and capabilities.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a creative or content marketing role, ideally with demonstrated capabilities in multimedia content creation.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment (agency or in-house preferred).
- B2B experience preferred, professional services exposure a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Showcase creative and strategic thinking through a curated portfolio of past work (personal or professional), highlighting visual storytelling and brand engagement across social platforms.
- Strong design and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Rush), Canva, and CapCut.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a portfolio of social copy and branded content across different platforms.
- Demonstrated use of generative AI tools to improve creativity, efficiency, and ideation.
- Social media channel management experience including scheduling tools and platform analytics.
- Proven ability to manage content calendars, plan campaigns, and coordinate cross-functional input.
- Experience with collaboration/project management platforms like Airtable or Wrike.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative instincts paired with a strategic understanding of audience needs and platform dynamics.
- Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $65,000-$80,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $74,750-$92,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
