FLSA Status: Exempt
Full-Time
Location: Atlanta – Norcross Office onsite

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, diagnosing and resolving network and system issues, and maintaining operational efficiency across the IT infrastructure. In this role, you will:

  • Provide first-level phone and email technical support
  • Prioritize and triage incidents from phone, email, and monitoring systems
  • Document all work performed in incident ticketing systems with high accuracy
  • Escalate relevant incidents to Tier II, Engineering, or Management based on complexity or time constraints
  • Collaborate with Tier II and management to meet company-defined SLAs
  • Adhere to special instructions and documented processes
  • Diagnose, repair, and update server systems, projectors, media players, and satellite receivers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity, switching, and routing issues
  • Document relevant issues for the knowledge base population
  • Work on a 24-hour rotational shift schedule, coordinating with the on–site team daily.  (weekdays: 6 AM–10 PM EST; weekends: 9 AM–9 PM EST)
  • Attend to and resolve all customer issues on time

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Services, or Engineering
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a network or systems administrator
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good to Have:

  • Active Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification
  • Desktop or systems support experience
  • Experience in NOC/SOC or IT operations teams
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows servers
  • Ability to interface effectively with diverse personnel

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN
  • Familiarity with routing and switching protocols (VLANs, 802.1q, VTP, Spanning Tree, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
  • Knowledge of firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, SonicWall)
  • Experience with common applications (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, MS-SQL, SSH, Telnet, FTP, Radius)
  • Understanding of problem, incident, and change management processes
