Magazine with a Best In Business Gold Award for our positive impact on our community, our industry, and society as a whole.
Summary
We’re looking for a data-savvy, curious, and adaptable individual to join our Analytics team as a Data & Analytics Specialist. This person will take the reins on daily data operations - managing performance dashboards, wrangling data from media and fundraising platforms, ensuring consistency across our reporting workflows - while also supporting the broader transformation of how our agency leverages data, automation, and AI.
This is a foundational role in a rapidly evolving area of the agency. As part of a small but forward-thinking team, you’ll not only be responsible for data integrity and insights delivery, but will also contribute to piloting new tools, workflows, and ideas that will shape the future of nonprofit marketing and agency operations.
If you love building clean dashboards and thinking ahead about how automation and AI can make things better, this role is for you.
This role can be located anywhere in the US.
Core Responsibilities
- Data Operations & Dashboard Management (80–90%)
- Own the end-to-end management of internal and client-facing dashboards (e.g. Looker Studio, Google Sheets), ensuring they are accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Pull and clean performance data from key platforms (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, HubSpot, Salesforce, GoFundMePRO, GiveLively, Fundraise Up).
- Maintain and evolve our internal data infrastructure - including documentation, shared schema references, and data QA practices.
- Assist with campaign reporting, URL/UTM builders, and audience/engagement analysis for our paid media, email, and fundraising teams.
- Serve as the main support for data updates related to client deliverables, including recurring reports and dashboards.
Strategic & Innovation Support (10–20%)
- Partner closely with the Director of Data Strategy to explore and implement automation, data pipeline, and AI-driven reporting solutions.
- Learn and test AI tools that can improve agency workflows - particularly for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- Assist in the development and documentation of standardized processes to streamline and scale our agency’s data offerings.
- Bring a strong learning mindset - this role is expected to evolve as the agency’s AI and data strategy matures.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience with data analysis, marketing analytics, or reporting (agency or nonprofit experience a plus).
- Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel (advanced formulas, query statements, conditional logic, vlookup/index-match).
- Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, and pulling data from marketing platforms (manual exports and connectors).
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Zapier) and how they can support workflows, analysis, or automations.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of data accuracy and QA.
- Clear communicator - able to explain data trends and inconsistencies in human terms.
- Interest in data storytelling and turning insights into impact.
Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn)
- Familiarity with or interest in data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery), Coefficient, or Supermetrics.
- Exposure to Google Tag Manager or Google Ads tracking.
- Some familiarity with SQL or data transformation scripting.
Career Path & Growth
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow from a data executor into a data innovator — someone who thrives at the intersection of spreadsheets, storytelling, and systems thinking. You’ll be mentored directly by the Director of Data Strategy and have access to agency-wide conversations around AI, automation, and the future of nonprofit marketing.
As our tools evolve, so will this role - and we’re looking for someone excited to grow with it.
