What you will be doing:
We are looking for a talented Visual Designer (AEM Author) to join our team. This role is focused on the tactical authoring and execution within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), helping to create, edit, and publish engaging web pages. You will be responsible for the assembly and optimization of pages, ensuring high-quality standards across multiple devices and browsers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work within structured CMS templates while optimizing content for SEO. Your responsibilities will include:
Author and execute web pages within AEM, utilizing existing component libraries to create high-quality pages.
Perform publishing and quality assurance (QA) activities, including proofreading, device/browser checks, and content publishing.
Assemble and optimize pages using structured CMS templates, ensuring consistency and quality across all content.
Apply basic on-page SEO best practices, such as updating metadata, headings, and alt text for images.
Ensure that all content is formatted correctly, proofread text, and validate functionality before publishing.
Manage images and assets, including uploading, resizing, and assigning images to content.
Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure content and design are aligned with project goals.
Follow established processes to maintain consistency in design, content quality, and user experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Basic proficiency with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), specifically in page creation, editing, and publishing.
Experience creating, editing, and publishing web pages using structured templates in a CMS.
Strong attention to detail, especially in proofreading, formatting, and performing device/browser QA checks.
Familiarity with basic on-page SEO elements, including metadata, headings, and alt text.
Ability to maintain consistency in content formatting, design, and user experience across pages.
Basic image and asset management skills, including uploading, resizing, and assigning images appropriately.
Effective written communication skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and tools.
Desired Skills:
Experience with additional Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for troubleshooting and minor adjustments.
Knowledge of AEM components and templates.
