Android Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic development team in the USA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance, user-friendly mobile applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers to deliver innovative mobile solutions that meet business objectives and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Work with outside data sources and APIs to integrate third-party services.

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Proven working experience of 3+ years in Android development.

Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.

Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.

Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

Experience with continuous integration is a plus.
