Estimator | ZR_25770_JOB

We’re seeking an experienced, detailoriented Estimator to work remotely. This role is responsible for producing accurate, detailed estimates and takeoffs for custom homes and largescale residential renovation projects, Drywall & Painting Projects. You will collaborate closely with our sales, design, and project management teams to ensure timely and competitive pricing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom homes and renovations using plans, scopes, and design specifications
  
• Perform material and labor takeoffs from architectural drawings
  
• Request and manage subcontractor and supplier quotes
  
• Collaborate with project managers and trade partners to refine pricing strategies
  
• Assist the sales team with preliminary budgeting and feasibility pricing
  
• Maintain uptodate pricing databases and templates
  
• Identify potential costsaving measures and value engineering opportunities
  
• Attend preconstruction meetings and provide technical input where needed

  Requirements

  Qualifications
  

  • Minimum 3–5 years of residential estimating experience (custom home or major renovation focus preferred)
    
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs
    
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and architectural drawings
    
  • Experience using estimating software (e.g., CoConstruct, BuilderTrend, PlanSwift, Excel, or equivalent)
    
  • Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
    
  • Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal
    
  • Local knowledge of trades and material suppliers in the Lake NormanCharlotte area is a plus
