Roles & Responsibilities:
Install/ Deploy: Defines the optimal procedure to install or deploy PTC Applications and its supporting 3rd Party Software. Evaluates install and deployment procedures for required changes based on version changes of PTC Application and its supporting 3rd Party Software. Demonstrates ability to resolve customer changes for best practice requirements independently
Configure/Maintain
Evaluates and identifies required changes to the rehost or refresh procedures based on the different version of PTC Application Software. Creates execution plans for the setup and configuration of Single Sign On for customers. Demonstrates expertise in performance tuning of PTC Applications and supported 3rd Party Software.
Upgrade
Develops expertise in executing documented upgrade procedures for PTC application. Creates upgrade execution procedures for knowledge repositories specific to versions of PTC Application Software.
Cloud Experience
Demonstrates expertise in at least one of the major Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google). Uses knowledge of the capabilities of at least one major Cloud provider in making decisions of what resources to utilize in what circumstances.
Mentoring
Mentors junior members of the team in the areas of product knowledge and technical expertise
Influencer
Work with Principals and Fellows to communicate trends in manual effort and help define requirements based on those trends for R&D to make the products more cloud ready and reduce the amount of work required by the cloud team.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
• Basic Administration skills in Windchill PDMLink
• Windchill CAD Data management and visualization
• Basic understanding of Windchill Rehost and upgrade
• Advance command line Linux Skills
• DB and VMware knowledge
• Java, JS & Basic Apache
• Awareness/Experience using a Ticketing System like Salesforce or Service Now
• Experience with Zabbix monitoring software or something comparable
• Understanding of Cloud and support stack
• Strong, proven diagnostic and Troubleshooting Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, in particular with the customer.
• Excellent Communication Skills; Verbal and Written
• Ability to synthetize situation, issues and risks and priority actions for management level
understanding
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-4 years of hands on experience with Windchill PLM, Linux and AWS/Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or
related STEM field and 4+ years of professional experience.
