The Hartford is seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Vice President (AVP) of AI and Data Engineering to lead our Global Specialty Data and Analytics portfolio. This strategic leader will drive the modernization of our data and analytics ecosystem, aligning with business objectives leveraging AI, cloud technologies, and a modern technology stack.
The ideal candidate has experience in developing large scale data ecosystems including data domains, data products, AI/ML solutions, analytics and business intelligence. The AVP will lead the development and implementation of advanced data engineering and AI capabilities. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking data and analytics leader to influence the future of The Hartford.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Chicago IL, Hartford CT, Danbury CT, Alpharetta GA or Charlotte NC) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office can be in remote work arrangement with the expectation of coming into the office as business needs arise. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
