    • What you can expect as a Litigation Specialist:

      • Detailoriented with strong organizational, negotiation, influential, and customer service skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
      • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and within a collaborative teamoriented environment using sound judgment in decisionmaking.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.
      • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with strong presentation skills
      • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to review lawsuits for potential deficiencies and provide recommendations as to the viability of a negotiated settlement versus continued litigation.
      • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and claims related software applications
      • Use technological knowledge of estimating and repair methods to review and compare estimates for overlap, pricing, understanding of proper industry standards and repair options and assess the potential effect on jury views and trial outcomes
      • Audit complex residential and commercial open claim files for accuracy and completeness and to assure company and State required guidelines are followed.
      • Record results of open claims audits and present findings in meetings with Legal Management and Adjusters.
      • Perform analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve technical and procedural aspects of claims handling.
      • Identify Adjuster coaching opportunities and communicate findings to management.
      • Participate in legal meetings as requested by Claims Managers
      • Assist VP of Legal and Claims QA in identifying training needs and developing and organizing training materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
      • When Complex Claims are identified as on track to go to the legal department, take over the adjustment of those claims, including collecting and reviewing all loss related facts, performing an analysis under the terms of the insurance policy to make a coverage recommendation, and issuing a payment with the applicable authority level.
      • Maintain appropriate diary on pending claims.
      • Report all suits, time limit demands, and mediations. Request premediation and pretrial reports timely from counsel.
      • Maintain knowledge of current industry developments, case law changes and best practices.
      • Forwards files with subrogation potential for collection in a timely manner
      • Makes referrals to SIU as warranted.

      What we are looking for as a Litigation Specialist:

      • 4 Years of Florida firstparty property claim handling experience
      • 2 Years of litigation experience.
      • 1 Year of technical experience with estimating software and repair methodology
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, an industry related field, andor equivalent education required.
