Senior Solution Architect - Enterprise

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Solution Architect, Enterprise to join our Professional Services team. The PS team in Fivetran works across all segments and use-cases, with a focus on serving our largest, most complex Enterprise customers. In Fivetran, the PS team's objective is not just onboarding and initial implementation, but building relationships with our customers in order to facilitate wider adoption of the tool, turning champions into advocates.

The Solution Architect role is extremely diverse. You will act as a technical account manager owning liaison between the customer, Product and Engineering; the chief Fivetran architect in charge of solution design and [optionally] provide hands-on-keyboard support in the form of installation, configuration and development.

You may work alone or in teams depending on the customer, but our SAs should also be able to project manage your work with your customers, with each other and with internal Fivetran stakeholders.

Further to your work with customers, the Solution Architect function provides cross-functional support across the organisation. You will support Marketing through attendance at industry events (with opportunities to take on speaking engagements); you will work closely with Product on Feature Requests and product development and you will have opportunities to support deals in pre-sales.

You will be joining a high-performing, multi-talented team of peers with locations across Europe. We prioritise getting together as much as possible and run internal QBRs onsite to ensure we never lose the personal connections that make this team as strong as it is.

This is a full-time position based remotely out of Ireland or the UK with preference for Dublin . The Solution Architect position is remote, but we encourage being in the office where possible. Furthermore, our SAs also do their best to be onsite with customers in-person; travel therefore is optional but encouraged.

• Languages: SQL, Python, bash or powershell, other languages are nice-to-have
• Networking: SSH tunneling, VPNs, Privatelinks
• Replication Technology: Fivetran, Qlik Replicate, Informatica, Talend, Oracle GoldenGate

What You’ll Do

• Manage customer engagements, with a focus on ensuring customer success through implementation, adoption and expansion of Fivetran
• Deliver solution design following industry and Fivetran best-practices whilst keeping in mind customer requirements
• Work alongside the wider Account team to develop and execute adoption and evangelisation of the Fivetran product
• Act as a primary liaison point between your customers, Product and Engineering
• Provide value adding support to adjacent organisations such as Marketing and Customer Support
• Contribute to internal initiatives, such as development of business processes to enhance the Fivetran stakeholder experience

• Being self-sufficient, proactive and organised when working with customers and internal stakeholders alike
• A high-performer who holds themselves and others to the same standards
• Being comfortable in deep technical conversations as managing customer relationships

Bonus Skills​

• Project Management accreditation
• French speaking
• HVR experience
• SAP HANA (and SAP ERP) experience is preferred; other databases such as IBM DB2 and Sybase are nice-to-have and Kubernetes is also a bonus skill
