Job Description

  • Review issues submitted by QC Operators to determine validity, accuracy, and severity 
  • Compile issues into a comprehensive report and deliver to clients before deadline
  • Act as a resource to QC Operators regarding QC issues and A/V equipment set-up
  • Escalate issues to management as needed
  • Perform functionality, A/V linear, and compatibility QCs
  • Assign projects to team members for the current and following day, to ensure projects are completed by deadline
  • Receive, process, and track physical media assets – check discs, hard drives, burned media discs, etc. and input them into internal database
  • Respond to clients’ inquiries 
  • Act as back-up for Day Shift Supervisor, working an earlier shift when Day Shift Supervisor is out
  • Provide and/or coordinate training for new hires
  • Provide ongoing feedback and training to QC Operators
  • Under the guidance of the department Director, keep QC test procedures up-to-date and adjust steps as needed
  • Conduct bi-weekly firmware checks on all players and monitors and update as needed, and keep track of updates current
  • Troubleshoot issues with A/V equipment and station computers; escalate issues to management, engineering, or IT as needed
  • Miscellaneous occasional admin duties, including answering the phone and the back receiving door

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years previous supervisory experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Postproduction, Home Entertainment, or Media industry
  • Experience utilizing various devices for both physical media and streaming playback (set top boxes, gaming systems, streaming media players, etc.)
  • Experience with FileMaker
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Deep understanding of DVD & Blu-Ray production processes, Surround Sound, Dolby ATMOS, HD, UHD, and regional products (domestic and international), etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A love of television and movies and a genuine curiosity about the technology involved in creating them

Schedule: Swing Shift

Salary: $24.00-25.00 Per Hour
