Team Global Express – Where Your Skills Power the Nation
Are you ready for more than just another maintenance job?
Do you want your work to actually make a difference — to be part of a fast-paced, high-tech logistics network that drives the country?
At Team Global Express, we’re offering an opportunity to do exactly that.
We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to help us keep our automated sortation systems running at peak performance. You’ll be hands-on with cutting-edge technology, part of a high-performing team, and empowered to make decisions that impact daily operations across the country.
If you take pride in your craft, solve problems before they cause delays, and believe safety is more than a checklist — this is the role you’ve been waiting for.
Why This Role is Different
- No Two days are the same. You’ll move between planned maintenance, live fault response, and continuous improvement work — all in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
- Your expertise matters. You'll work alongside operations, engineers, and automation experts, where your voice will help shape smarter solutions.
- Real impact, real recognition. We don’t just tick boxes — we see and celebrate people who take initiative and deliver results.
- We're investing in tech — and in you. You'll get access to tools like MEX, SCADA, and PLC systems — and we'll support your growth every step of the way.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on our sort systems and freight handling equipment.
- Respond quickly to faults to keep operations moving.
- Use MEX CMMS software to log work, monitor performance, and plan ahead.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently.
- Drive safety-first behaviors and be a role model in OHS best practices.
- Support improvement projects that increase reliability, reduce downtime, and make the system better for everyone.
What You’ll Bring
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (essential)
- Confidence working with conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation systems
- Experience with PLC, VSD, and SCADA systems (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read complex technical diagrams
- A calm, methodical approach when things get urgent
- A desire to be part of something bigger than yourself
Bonus Points For
- Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Freight or logistics sector experience
- A few great stories of how you solved problems others couldn’t
What You’ll Get
- A stable, permanent role with a national industry leader
- Clear career pathways and technical upskilling opportunities
- A workplace that truly values safety, teamwork, and innovation
- The satisfaction of knowing your work keeps goods moving across Australia
Don’t settle for a job that just keeps you busy. Choose one that moves you forward.
