Job description

We are working closely with CDC - Design & Transformation to assist with the appointment of a Build Consultant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £700 per day (Outside IR35)

Summary:

The Build Consultant is responsible for leading the configuration and implementation of a new, customised Unit4 ERP instance. Following the successful ERP deployment in 2023, the next phase of the programme involves separating a key component into a new instance. This requires a dedicated consultant to support system design, configuration, and testing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders and project teams to understand business requirements.
  • Participate in design workshops and translate outputs into detailed build documentation.
  • Configure the Unit4 ERP system in line with approved designs and best practices.
  • Provide expert consultancy on Unit4 configuration, data structures, and inter-module dependencies.
  • Support integration, data migration, and testing (IST/UAT), including writing test scripts.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading and configuring a new client build in Unit4 ERP.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, module configuration, and tools.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable technical designs.
  • Experience setting up chart of accounts, workflows, roles, and permissions in Unit4.
  • Proficiency in Unit4 import/export rules and use of APIs.
