Job description

The Senior Security Engineer is a hands-on technical lead responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and monitoring a suite of security solutions. This role involves engineering and configuring security products, administering security services, incident response, network design collaboration, and proactively identifying vulnerabilities. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 10+ years of IT security experience, proficiency in various security technologies, and strong problem-solving skills. Soft skills include being proactive, conscientious, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently. Some travel, up to 15%, may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Over a decade of dedicated experience as an IT Security professional, specializing in engineering.
  • Proficient in hands-on engineering and implementation of the following technologies, ranging from intermediate to expert level:
    • Zero Trust technologies and concepts
    • Microsoft Defender 365, encompassing the full security stack
    • Network Security, including network segmentation and network access control (NAC)
    • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • More than five years of practical experience in hands-on administration of the following, at an intermediate to expert level:
    • Vulnerability management, covering scanning, prioritization, remediation, and verification
    • Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM)
    • Secure e-mail gateways (SEG)
    • Anti-virus endpoint solutions
    • Secure web gateways (SWG)
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in scripting for task automation using PowerShell.
  • Preferred background of two or more years as a System Administrator and/or Network Engineer.
  • Possesses essential soft skills, including being highly proactive, conscientious, a problem solver, with a strong work ethic, a readiness to work outside regular hours when necessary, and the ability to work collaboratively or independently as the situation demands.
