Lean Engineer

The main responsibility of this position is to deliver quantifiable improvement results in the form of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost within assigned Value Stream.

About the job:

  • Utilizing Value Stream Mapping; drive continuous improvement across Production/Administration processes in the areas of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost through Kaizens & Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Provide leadership in the execution of projects within assigned Value Stream. Provide project expertise in the form of Lean Six Sigma tools & methodologies. Review and monitors project progress to assure quality and adherence to project and company objectives.
  • Mentor Lean Small Group Activities projects & events
  • Support a Lean specialty sub-committee; and become a Subject Matter Expert in the focused-area.
  • Personal development through LF training, self-improvement research and benchmarking / networking activities.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a combination of relevant experience and/or formal training)
  • 3+ years of experience in the same capacity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong ability to communicate across different levels and across departments of the organization
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Strong systems perspective
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage
  • Lean knowledge or experience is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
