Are you a regulatory expert with a passion for quality, innovation and impact? We’re on the hunt for a Head of Quality and Compliance (Responsible Officer) who will set the gold standard for how qualifications, assessments, and governance are delivered at scale — and with heart. 

Job Title:                Head of Quality and Compliance (Responsible Officer)

Reporting to:         Head of Education Operations

Location:               Remote (with occasional travel to London or local offices)

Salary:                   Up to £56,500 + 10% annual bonus

The Opportunity: 

This is your chance to help define something new. You’ll lead our Quality & Compliance function at a senior level, influence cross-functional teams, and work at the forefront of the transformation of healthcare education. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own our compliance standards: Maintain our regulated status across AO, EPAO and SQA provision, acting as Responsible Officer with key regulatory bodies like Ofqual, ESFA, Skills England and more.
  • Lead with innovation: Rethink quality assurance processes for a digital age, ensuring we go beyond compliance to deliver true excellence.
  • Shape the future: Oversee the design and implementation of cutting-edge qualifications and assessments tailored to meet real-world healthcare needs.
  • Inspire and manage: Lead a growing team of QA professionals and internal quality assurers to scale our impact.
  • Champion our learners: Put learner and customer satisfaction at the heart of our work — and act fast when things need to improve.
  • Influence at the top: Provide expert advice to the Board, participate in governance meetings and represent FuturU at high-profile sector events.
Qualifications and Experience - About you: 
  • You will have a deep knowledge of UK vocational education and regulation (Ofqual, ESFA, SQA etc.)
  • You will have held senior roles in Awarding Organisations or similar bodies — ideally with Responsible Officer experience
  • You will bring significant expertise in developing and assuring qualifications and assessments
  • You will be an innovator with a proven track record of doing things differently — and better
  • You will be an empowering leader and clear communicator with the gravitas to influence at Board level
  • You will thrives in a fast-paced, agile, and mission-driven environment
  • You will be ready to challenge the status quo, collaborate with energy, and drive real change
