Health Information Alliance. is seeking a CMS SEPSIS Measures Abstractor (REMOTE)

This provides a solution to our clients through outsourcing.

  • This is a Subcontractor Position (1099)
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 HoursPer Week.

    • Job Summary:

      The Data Abstractor’s key responsibility is to collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data to the specific registry or measure data repository. This task is accomplished through highquality data compilation, documentation, and data entry of identified procedures performed andor disease process treatment at the Contracted Facility into the associated registryvendor tool platform.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Experience: Must have a Minimum of 5 years of Current Experience with Sepsis Abstraction (Clinical Data Abstraction) of Specified MeasureRegistry Core Measures.
      • Superior knowledge of core measure requirements

      • Experience in IQR, OQR, IPFQR, andor other quality reporting programs that utilize core measures

      • Experience with core measure data collection application(s)

        • General Requirements:

          The ideal candidate must possess the following characteristics:

          • Commitment and reliability; be able to dedicate consistent time to HIA

          • Superb communication and responsiveness
            Computer literacy

            • Must be comfortable with, but not limited to: Excel, webbrowsers, email, electronic health records (nonspecific)

            • Must be familiar with various technologies such as, but not limited to: security (e.g., Citrix), data collectionabstraction, encoders, webbased applications

              • Selfmaintenance of skillset

                • Maintaining credentials

                • Staying current with abstractioncoding rules, manuals, and guidelines

                  • Prior experience in position applying for

                  • Must have a minimum of 5 years current experience in Sepsis Abstraction

                  • Motivation; remote work can be teambased, but requires the ability to work independently

                  • Strong interpersonal skills and tactfulness to be able to effectively communicate with team members and client contacts

                  • May require Background and Drug Screening

                    • Qualifications

                      Qualifications:

                      • Superior knowledge of core measure requirements
                      • Experience in IQR, OQR, IPFQR, andor other quality reporting programs that utilize core measures
                      • Experience with Core Measure Data Collection applications
                        • Preferred Skills:

                          • Use of the tools and techniques of continuous quality improvement and computer skills for data display.

                          • Attention to detail and followup necessary.

                          • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital staff, physicians and community resources required.

                          • Must be able to work independently.

                            • Educational Requirements:

                              The ideal candidate must possess:

                              • A college degree from

                                • An accredited nursing program,

                                • CAHIIM accredited program, or

                                • Other accredited healthcare program

                                • Healthcare credential associated with their program of study

                                • Other healthcare information related abstraction and coding credentials desirable

                                    • This position is for a Subcontractor (1099), who is willing to work 20 hours per week on a regular basis.
