Dropbox is growing, and we're looking for a senior software engineer to help build and scale Dropbox Dash, one of our fastest-growing AI products. Our team is tackling complex challenges across distributed systems, data platforms, and AI-powered experiences. You’ll join a high-impact, collaborative environment where engineers partner closely with Product and Design to shape what we build and how we build it.
As a senior individual contributor on the team, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering foundational infrastructure for Dash, owning critical components of the system, and helping the team execute against ambitious product goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, values end-to-end ownership, and enjoys mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain core systems powering Dropbox Dash, including our connectors platform, data pipelines, knowledge graph, and retrieval services
Contribute to scalable and resilient architecture across high-volume, low-latency systems
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver reliable, secure, and user-focused features
Provide technical mentorship and contribute to the growth of engineering excellence within the team
Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure system performance and data integrity
Basic Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems or enterprise software products
Proficiency in building fault-tolerant, high-availability backend systems
Strong communication and collaboration skills
