Job description

What the job is about

As a Platform Engineer you’ll be part of the Global PPT (Product Platform Team) that plays an important role in driving the evolution of Sofico's architecture.
In Australia you would be part of a small and close team - working closely together with the colleagues of IT - whilst still being able to rely and collaborate with people all around the world. Within PPT, we have people located in 7 Sofico Offices (JP, AU, Europe, US).
As a team we use Agile methodology and implemented scrum. However, we need to remain flexible for urgent request, since qualitative delivery and great support for our customers is crucial.
With the shift to microservices and the cloud, you’ll help shape the next generation of Miles, our ERP software for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

•    Setting up, deploying, and managing environments and microservices for internal and customer facing applications, both on-premise and in the cloud. 
•    Supporting customers in setting up and maintaining their environments and providing consulting services as needed. 
•    Advising on and contributing to the transformation of legacy components. 
•    Researching and experimenting with modern technologies to continuously improve processes and systems. 
•    Overseeing our release management, ensuring seamless deliveries of the Miles Enterprise stack. 
•    Providing automation and self-service tools. Experience with Ansible is a benefit.

What else is expected: 

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
•    Expertise in one or more technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Rancher, PKS, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), terraform.
•    Motivated team player, who wants to help your teammates and excel together.
•    Hands-on approach and thrive on challenging technical tasks
•    Open mindset are eager and can adopt in different situations.
•    Willing to travel occasionally
•    Experience with at least one public cloud provider (e.g., Azure).
•    Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Candidates must possess AU Citizenship, AU PR or have OWN pathway to PR - sponsorship or visa nomination is not available.
