Job description

 

At Intrepid, we believe travel is a force for good and as the Senior Accountant for Intrepid Peru, you’ll play a key role in upholding the financial integrity of a business committed to creating positive change. This position will oversee the accounting and financial operations including managing accounts receivable, intercompany invoicing, local taxes, employee benefits, payroll, and worker-related matters. This role involves preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, conducting reviews and analyses for presentation to various entities in Peru, and producing global financial reports monthly, adhering to international reporting deadlines. The Senior Accountant will also perform internal audits and manage processes related to local authorities. 

 

This is a full-time permanent position, working on a hybrid basis from our office in Lima, Peru. To provide the best experience to our people, this role would operate mostly work-from-home days until further notice.    

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas) and experience with ERP systems, specifically MSD365. 

  • CA/CPA with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, strong knowledge of taxes, and preferable experience in the tourism industry. 

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results. 

  • Expertise in corporate taxes (VAT, income tax, PDB), exportation services in tourism advantageous. 

  • Experience managing staff & payroll. 

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient analytical and critical thinking abilities, capable of meeting filing deadlines and managing e-commerce platforms, including product listings and inventory.
