Summary of Job Duties:
The Associate Applications Systems Analyst supports Patient Access Support Services for the Integrated Medicine Service Line. Supports system applications, Epic Cadence, with a primary focus on scheduling templates and decision trees. Acts semi-independently under general supervision, requiring some instruction and guidance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma plus 5+ years experience in healthcare supporting Patient Access (Scheduling, Registration, Referral/Auth) or ambulatory clinic operations OR experience administrating a software application used for patient access or ambulatory clinical operations.

OR

  • Associate's Degree plus 3+ years experience in healthcare supporting Patient Access (Scheduling, Registration, Referral/Auth) or ambulatory clinic operations OR experience administrating a software application used for patient access or ambulatory clinical operations.

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 1+ year experience in healthcare supporting Patient Access (Scheduling, Registration, Referral/Auth) or ambulatory clinic operations OR experience administrating a software application used for patient access or ambulatory clinical operations.

  • Healthcare, Information Technology or a related field of study

  • Epic Cadence Certification – Must be certified or obtain certification within two years from the date of hire.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Performs workflow and systems analysis and design related to new applications, system enhancements (i.e., reporting needs, system configuration changes, upgrades, etc.), and ongoing system support.

  • Determines business and clinical requirements through consultation with customers.

  • Reviews existing systems to assess current system capabilities and identifies opportunities for process improvements.

  • Documents relevant data and process flows, determines system inputs, processes, and outputs.

  • Performs assessments of available technology and documents viable system design alternatives.

  • Participates in application testing and quality assurance processes by creating required test files, analyzing test results, and debugging software operations.

  • Coordinates the interfacing of medical equipment with IT and verifies proper operation of such systems.

  • Performs software updates and handles any software-related issues.

  • Develops custom reports and performs system customizations as allowed per specific application.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
