      So, what’s the role?

      We are looking for a dedicated claims supervisor to join our growing team! As a Claims Compliance Process Supervisor, your main focus falls upon file quality as it pertains to compliance. You will be responsible for reviewing and reporting on the adherence to compliance requirements for all claims adjusting groups at Kin.

      This role will require an individual who can lead a team of compliance specialists to identify compliance and quality trends and communicate them clearly and convincingly to the rest of the organization. A deep understanding of homeowner’s insurance claims is a must, and knowledge and experience with compliance in personal auto claims also would be beneficial. Further, indepth support of other parts of claims, including litigation, presuit, and alternate dispute resolution is an integral part of this position.

      A day in the life could include:

      Team Leadership & Oversight

      • Supervising a crossfunctional team responsible for claims compliance operations, litigation support, regulatory response handling, and the distribution of incoming communications (e.g., departmental inboxes), including issue escalation and response time monitoring.

      • Monitoring operational data entry and maintenance across tools like Google Sheets and Legal Tracker, ensuring accuracy and usability for decisionmaking.

      • Driving operational readiness by fostering high performance, crossfunctional collaboration, and accountability across teams.

      • Delegating complex and highimpact projects, ensuring appropriate task ownership, timely execution, and alignment with department and company objectives.

      • Overseeing the coordination and scheduling of meetings across Liability, Litigation, Presuit, and Complex teams with outside counsel, ensuring alignment with legal timelines and operational demands.

      • Supervising calendar management, mediation scheduling, and claims assignments across multiple litigationsupporting teams.

        • Compliance & Regulatory Project Oversight

          • Leading the team in researching, interpreting, and applying complex statespecific claims handling and licensing regulations; ensuring findings are documented and escalated to Claims Leadership as needed. Knowledge and experience in both homeowners and auto claims is a plus!

          • Supervising responses to Market Conduct Exams, State Financial Reviews, Reinsurance and Financial Audits, and Data Calls, ensuring thorough request analysis, data gathering, and written responses.

          • Overseeing the planning and execution of compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

          • Supporting compliance readiness for new product launches (e.g., Kin Auto 2025) by overseeing process development, team training, and control alignment.

            • Auditing, Controls & Quality Assurance

              • Managing the execution and quality of internal audits and statespecific compliance reviews, including auditing of claims payments, compliance controls, and departmental processes.

              • Reviewing audit findings, analyzing trends (e.g., leakage, KPI deviations), and providing actionable recommendations to leadership.

              • Ensuring timely execution of compliance control testing and tracking of corrective actions, partnering with relevant stakeholders to address deficiencies.

              • Supervising the teams contribution to quality improvement and compliance monitoring efforts, aligning with internal standards and external expectations.

                • Documentation, Tooling & Automation Oversight

                  • Ensuring the development, accuracy, and accessibility of teamfacing compliance documentation, SOPs, job aids, and audit responses.

                  • Overseeing the teams use and management of tools such as RegEd CODE, Google Sheets, and Legal Tracker, ensuring data integrity and usability.

                  • Collaborating with Kin Technical teams to define and prioritize tooling, automation, and reporting enhancements that support compliance effectiveness and operational transparency.

                    • I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?
                      • 3+ years of claims compliance experience OR 5 years of property claims handling experience in multiple roles, including a current adjuster license in Florida (or the ability to obtain a reciprocal license immediately)

                      • Claims leadership experience of at least 2 to 3 years

                      • Understanding of both homeowners and personal auto claims compliance is a plus!

                      • Proficient in ExcelGoogle Spreadsheets

                      • Desire to lead and empower a hardworking team to deliver best results

                      • Experience with process change and implementation

                      • Ability to quantify impacts using data

                      • Experience owning process management or process improvement projects

                      • Ability to collaborate effectively, working for a winwin while inspiring others to do the same
