General Job Summary

The Technology Project Manager (TPM) will drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of cloud-first, API-first, and data modernization initiatives aligned with Midwest Loan Services' strategic transformation roadmap. This individual will play a central role in working across engineering, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and in compliance with audit and regulatory standards. The TPM is expected to coordinate deliverables across cloud engineering, data integration, analytics, and document digitization initiatives, including both implementation and maintenance phases. 


Summary of Essential Job Functions

Provide direction over each of the project management elements and coordinates project management details including but not limited to:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of technology modernization programs using Agile, hybrid, or phased methodologies as appropriate.
  • Maintain project roadmaps, milestone plans, resource forecasts, risk logs, and issue trackers.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams (Azure, Data, API) and vendors (e.g., ICE/Black Knight, Covius, Lumin) for delivery dependencies.
  • Own project documentation includes charters, runbooks, test plans, acceptance criteria, and vendor integration guides.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and SMEs to translate business goals into deliverable and testable requirements.
  • Support UAT planning and execution, defect triaging, and production readiness reviews.
  • Ensure change management, audit tracking, and compliance documentation are maintained throughout the SDLC.
  • Provide weekly status reports, executive summaries, and stakeholder updates.
  • Act as primary liaison for project escalations, stakeholder alignment, and post-go-live stabilization

Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or related field highly preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of managing IT or digital transformation projects experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years (5 years preferred) of experience in government regulated industry highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years (5 years preferred) of leadership and/or management experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mortgage servicing industry highly preferred. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, and Agile delivery required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of cloud transformation initiatives and technical delivery lifecycles
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in vendor coordination, especially for integration and compliance-heavy projects
  • Familiarity with Project & Collaboration Tools: Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams
  • Familiarity with Workflow & Testing Tools: Postman, GitHub, Azure Monitor, JIRA (nice to have)

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at management’s sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.


Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
  • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed.

The salary range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target pay range for this position is between $85,000-$115,000 per year.
