Description

The Predictive Analytics Analyst is a predictive analytics role that builds statistical models and handles the quality control in our modeling process. This position will be responsible for: analyzing customer behavior data; quality control and development of machine learning models, providing guidance and documentation on suggested model development and usage; and consulting with and creating presentation materials for our Client Success team to use.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Consult regularly with Client Success regarding our clients’ consumer data, customer profile, modeling options, production timelines, and performance.
• Build predictive models using proprietary modeling systems as well as commercial statistical software providing excellent internal and external customer service and meeting deadlines.
• Develop semicustomized model summaries to convey model details and expected results to Client Success and clients for use in their marketing and circulation planning.
• Build multimodel solutions to deliver larger ranked universes to clients.
• Develop personal analytical skill set with a goal of contributing to the enhancement of Wiland’s modeling, reporting, and analytical environment. Continually increase knowledge to provide the best support and excellent results for our Clients.

  EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA if applicable.
  • 1+ years experience using predictive modeling methods (regression analysis, decision trees, neural networks, etc.).
  • 1+ year experience with SQL, R, Alteryx or other data manipulation and statistical analysis platforms.
  • Solid quantitative and analytical aptitude and the ability to apply those concepts in a business setting, identifying relevant business questions and conceptualizing quantitative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

    • Compensation Range: $58,000 $77,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
