Position Title: Manager, Colocation Operations

$106,054 to $149,233 annually DOE

Job Summary
This position can be worked remotely, but you must live within driving distance of Everett, WA,
Beaverton, OR or Coeur d’Alene, ID.

The Manager, Colocation Operations leads the Colocation Operations team and drives the design,
implementation, and management of Ziply Fiber’s collocation facilities and services. This role is
responsible for developing and enforcing operational standards, documenting infrastructure, and
overseeing colocationrelated projects across the Ziply portfolio.

This position plays a key role in crossfunctional collaboration—supporting sales teams with engineering
insight, guiding customer deployments, and maintaining high service quality for both internal and external
stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a skilled project manager with experience managing multiple
vendors, a strong customer service mindset, and the ability to deliver thorough and consistent
documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee

• Oversee and lead the Colocation Operations team
• Design Colocation facilities, including power distribution, environmental mechanical
requirements, cabinetrack layout, conveyance, security, access.
• Create maintain documentation for Colocation infrastructure, facilities, and customers.
• Work as part of a team to develop new standards for Colocation and to apply standards across
new builds and existing facilities to create and maintain consistency across Colocation offering.
• Perform site visits and surveys as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously on schedule and within budget.
• Manage maintenance requirements and activities in Colocation facilities and with Colocation
specific infrastructure.
• Work with NOC to define improve Colocation related customer notifications.
• Work with Physical Security team to define, document and implement physical security policies
procedures
• Work with internal teams to manage new installs, customer deployments, circuit turn up’s, etc.
• Develop and spearhead new initiatives across legacy applications and manage new deployment
projects throughout Ziply portfolio.
• Work with Ziply Sales teams to support new customer requisition and provide customer tours
quotes, support as needed.
• Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of related Datacenter Colocation Telecommunications industry
experience required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of Technical Project Management experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills at equivalent or similar level of responsibility.
• Expertise in the operations of critical MEP infrastructure, including UPS Systems, DC Power
plants, emergency generators, various critical cooling systems and controls, computer room air
handlers and air conditioners, and electrical distribution.
• Intermediate knowledge of networking and IP addressing for enabling and interfacing with
network enabled devices.
• A comprehensive understanding of critical environment management and the challenges of
multitenant datacenter colocation occupancy.
• Ability to:
o Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
o Estimate cost of customer installations.
o Analyze and interpret complex project documents such as AutoCAD, Visio and PDF.
o Analyze and propose solutions with limited information.
o Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
o Adhere to Local and Federal regulations and company policies.
• Experience developing operating and maintenance standards and project trackingmanagement
documents.
• Proficient in using Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint and Word and drawing programs
such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
• Must complete a preemployment drug screening.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

may also involve working in proximity to power lines and electrical equipment.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a
computer, keyboard, mouse, and multiline telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office
setting.
